Where we help

The number of countries in which children do not have regular access to schooling is overwhelming. To take a first step and provide help, we support our project partners in their work in Afghanistan and Malawi.

Why Afghanistan

Since the Taliban seized power, the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan has worsened. Due to the economic situation and extreme weather conditions, 22.8 million people, more than half the population, do not have enough to eat and the country is on the verge of economic collapse. Women and children are particularly hard hit.

Why Malawi

The small country, located in southeastern Africa, has a population of over 20 million, a large proportion of whom live in poverty and hunger.

Neither Malawi's economy nor its education and health systems are designed to cope with the already high and ever-increasing population density. At present, 18% of the population is considered undernourished. This has serious consequences for young children, as their growth is often delayed due to chronic malnutrition.

What we financed

We want to make a difference together and help as many people as possible. That is why we set ourselves clear and ambitious goals with our local partner organizations right from the start. This of course also applies in Afghanistan and Malawi.

ROUND 2

This is how it continues

After a successful initial funding round, we are also supporting projects in the field of education in Phase 2. This time, sports-related offers for children and young people in Germany are being funded. Click here to see the current projects with KICKFAIR and RheinFlanke.
