Accessibility statement

share aims to make the world more social and humane – step by step, product by product. With every purchase at share, consumers enable a donation to help someone in need. That's why we continuously improve the digital accessibility of our services to make them barrier-free, intuitive, and convenient. Below you will find information on the accessible usability of our online sales platform at www.share.eu (online shop).

Below is an overview of how to use our online shop at www.share.eu in an accessible way.

How the share online shop works

Our webshop is for selling products that can be ordered and paid for directly online. This includes all items that can be purchased through our online shop. The platform allows users to select products, add them to a virtual shopping cart, and complete the purchase through a final checkout process.

Navigation is via a top menu. Our product categories are clearly structured and listed at the top, each leading to its respective product page. Each page contains information on the most important product features, scope of delivery, and price. The shopping cart becomes accessible via the main menu once at least one product has been added. From there, the order process can be initiated and completed.

Legal requirements for accessibility

Since our online shop is considered an "electronic business service" – with digital ordering and payment functions – it is subject to special legal requirements regarding digital accessibility.

These requirements stipulate that key functions of the online shop must be geared towards the needs of people with disabilities and remain usable with assistive technologies.

The functions of our online shop must be enabled for this.

be designed.

Accessibility of the share online shop

The technical and design implementation of our shop is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA. We implement these principles as follows:

  • Perceivability: Content is visually clearly structured, semantically organized, and comprehensible for assistive technologies such as screen readers. Font sizes can be adjusted, color combinations meet contrast requirements, and the layout adapts flexibly to different screen sizes.

  • Usability: The shop can be operated via keyboard. A logical focus navigation ensures that users can find their way around intuitively – regardless of the input device used.

  • Clarity: Controls are clearly labeled, feedback is linguistically understandable, and the layout remains consistent. Visual cues are supplemented by alternative textual elements to ensure they remain technically accessible.

  • Robustness: The shop uses standards-compliant technologies that are compatible with common browsers, devices and assistive technologies such as screen readers.

Accessibility is an integral part of our product development. Digital accessibility requirements are incorporated into both the design and the technical implementation of the online shop. Our teams regularly exchange information on accessible design, contributing experience and expertise across departments.

To ensure quality, we use both automated and manual testing procedures. The results are documented and directly incorporated into further development.

In doing so, we not only utilize internal expertise, but also involve external experts when necessary – especially for specific technical or legal issues.
