Your stationery donates lessons in Uganda

Together with you, we want to enable children to attend school.

Did you know that each of our products always includes a social donation? Let's look at Uganda, one of the poorest countries in the world. Many families here do not have the financial means to buy the educational materials their children need to attend school. In addition, the Corona pandemic has not led to a prolonged school closure anywhere in the world; for almost two years there was almost no school operation. With your stationery product you donate a lesson to a schoolchild in Uganda who can now learn again.

What is behind a lesson?

When we talk about a lesson, there is actually a lot more to it, because your donation supports school children with essential things that are necessary for learning. This means that in addition to school materials, hygiene products such as sanitary pads are also financed.

And all of these things can have a huge impact over time. Because if people are able to receive a high-quality education, they are more likely to be able to escape the cycle of poverty.

World hunger Help

Welthungerhilfe is one of the largest private aid organizations in Germany. Since its foundation in 1962, it has worked according to the basic principle of helping people to help themselves: from rapid disaster relief to long-term development cooperation projects with national and international partner organizations.

How exactly is the lesson financed?

Back to your donation. How exactly does this turn into social assistance? Together with our partner Welthungerhilfe, we pursue the common goal of providing access to education. As an independent aid organization, Welthungerhilfe does not support any products or services. That is why share gives 10 cents of every stationery product sold to Welthungerhilfe in order to provide essential things that are necessary for learning.

Where can I get the stationery products now?

From 2024, edding will take over distribution for our stationery range. The mission remains unchanged: every stationery item sold enables one school lesson in Uganda.
