Donate your snacks to people in the Czech Republic

With you and the food banks in the Czech Republic, we distribute food to people in need.

Did you know that each of our products always contains a social donation? We often don't have to look far to help, because social inequalities are also growing in Europe. Many people suffer from hidden poverty. A situation that is further exacerbated by the effects of Covid-19 and the Ukraine crisis. With your snack you donate a portion of food to disadvantaged people in the Czech Republic and thus enable them to have a nutritious meal.

But what is actually behind a portion of food?

Potravinové Banky (Food Banks in the Czech Republic) supports the work of local social institutions by taking on the important and complex logistical work necessary for the distribution of food parcels. This means that it takes on the nationwide coordination, transport and storage of large quantities of donated food, thus enabling widespread distribution of food parcels to people in need of support. At the same time, food can be saved from being wasted.

This help is particularly important today, because the number of people affected by poverty has increased significantly since spring 2022. By distributing fresh produce, such as fruit and vegetables, we can, together with the food banks, contribute to a more balanced diet.

Potravinové Banky

Potravinové Banky is a member of the Federation of European Food Banks. Their goals include fighting food waste, combating malnutrition and promoting solidarity within society. Every year they save thousands of tons of food and reach more than 100,000 socially disadvantaged people across the Czech Republic.

How exactly is a portion of food financed?

Now back to the donation. How does this turn into social assistance? Together with our partner Potravinové Banky, we want to give people affected by poverty access to nutritious meals. As an independent aid organization, Potravinové Banky does not support any products or services. That is why share gives 9 cents of every snack sold to the food bank to help save food.
