For a good cause

Every share product sold contains a donation and thus supports a social project. Our focus: the four basic needs, drinking water, food, hygiene and education. For everyone.

Our project areas

Our product range is as diverse as the project areas we support with it.

Drinking water

Access to clean drinking water is a UN human right, but it is not yet a reality for everyone. In the drinking water projects, we support the repair, maintenance and construction of safe wells and hand pumps together with our partner organizations.

Nutrition Nutrition

Nutrition

Together with our partner organizations, we are doing something to combat hunger: We provide emergency food in crisis areas, distribute school meals and ensure that socially disadvantaged people have access to food locally.

Hygiene Hygiene

Hygiene

In our hygiene projects, people are provided with hygiene products and the necessary know-how to prevent communicable diseases. Because good health and well-being are basic requirements for better development opportunities.

Education Education

Education

Everyone has a right to education. Because education opens doors. The educational projects we support provide children with essential things that enable them to attend classes - this includes learning materials as well as meals, hygiene items and classroom equipment.

How we help

Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about our projects. If you have any further questions or would like to find out more about our social projects or our impact, please feel free to contact us at any time with your individual inquiry using our contact form .

Helping people help themselves

When they hear the word “development aid,” many people immediately unpack a long list of criticisms. But wait, we are talking about “development cooperation” here and that is more than just a linguistic difference.

The aim of our development cooperation projects is to sustainably improve the quality of life on site without creating dependencies. The projects do not end with the construction of a few new wells. Rather, they begin with the repair of existing infrastructure. There is much more to come after that.

In the smart well project in Kenya, for example, we are involved in setting up a local company that will take care of the operation and maintenance of the wells and water pipes itself. This avoids dependencies and ensures the water supply in the long term.

Emergency aid

It's not an easy topic, but it's one we need to talk about. People all over the world suffer from extreme situations such as natural disasters, droughts, conflicts or flight. And for children in particular, such extreme situations can be life-threatening.

What we can do about it are short-term interventions that ensure the survival of as many people as possible.

In our project with Action Against Hunger in Somalia, for example, therapeutic ready-made food is distributed to mothers with small children who are suffering from malnutrition. The emergency food used in this project is a fortified paste made from peanuts. So far, over 13 million of these emergency meals have been distributed.

Local Help

Even in our latitudes, there are far-reaching social problems that need to be solved. That is why we are also committed here in Europe to improving the lives of socially disadvantaged people in our society. In Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic, for example, we support food banks - and can thus also make a contribution to combating food waste.

The Berliner Tafel is our very first and therefore longest partner. We are proud of this collaboration and regularly take part. On volunteer days, sharies work at the Berliner Tafel themselves and help sort and distribute rescued food.

Together for a better world

It is hardly possible to improve the world alone. That is why we rely on the expertise and experience of real professionals in our projects. We work with recognized national and international aid organizations. A crucial prerequisite for cooperation is the transparency and thus trustworthiness of the organizations.
