Crises exacerbate food insecurity
The number of people in urgent need of food and livelihood assistance is increasing. Countries in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia are particularly affected (Source: Global Report on Food Crisis, 2024). Therefore, we are jointly supporting nutrition projects in Somalia and Sierra Leone.
Our commitment

Where are we active?
The nutritional situation is alarming in both Sierra Leone and Somalia. In Sierra Leone, approximately a quarter of the population suffers from malnutrition – children are particularly at risk. Poverty, a lack of medical care, and a weakened infrastructure make it difficult to achieve a stable nutritional situation. In Somalia, the situation is becoming increasingly critical due to persistent droughts, conflict, and displacement: Millions of people do not have enough to eat, and more than 1.6 million children under the age of five are acutely malnourished.

Creating a better livelihood together
Healthy meals mean more than just satisfying hunger—they are the foundation for a self-determined life. In Sierra Leone, we enable village communities to enjoy a balanced and climate-adapted diet through training in organic farming and the distribution of seeds and equipment. In Somalia, malnourished children receive targeted, nutrient-rich special food to help them recover and grow up healthy. Both projects sustainably improve the nutritional situation and give people the opportunity to improve their living conditions through their own efforts—meal by meal.
Who we work with
We've partnered with experts in providing global aid: vetted national and international aid organizations. We trust them because we can see exactly how they use the money. This way, we can be sure that our aid is reaching the right place.
