With the aim of creating a more socially just world, the topic of sustainability has been the focus of our work since share was founded in 2018 - and on several levels. Because the idea of sustainability can only really work in the long term if we think about it in three dimensions - economic, ecological and social sustainability . Here you can find out how we live the sustainability triangle at share and what corporate social responsibility means to us.

The share principle

Social sustainability

We are actively committed to greater social justice . And so social sustainability as a dimension of the sustainability triangle is clearly the focus at share. Every product at share automatically includes a social donation that supports people around the world with necessary assistance. To ensure that the donations reach where they are most needed and can reduce social injustice, we work with internationally recognized aid organizations. The projects supported by the sale of our everyday products focus on the four basic needs: food, drinking water, hygiene and education.

No profit without social impact

Economic sustainability

Our business model ensures economic sustainability. As a social impact brand, we are committed to not making a profit without generating social impact. In October 2022, we therefore received our B Corp recertification. Once again, we were put to the test to see whether we meet the demanding social and ecological criteria and commit ourselves in our statutes to creating social added value - with success. For us, being a B Corp company means valuing employees, customers, the environment and our community at least as much as profit - if not more! It also means that we have a management team that upholds these values. With our award, we are among the top 5% of all companies of comparable size in the community sector of all great B Corps, which already have high standards in terms of their social and ecological footprint.

Innovations for more responsibility

environmental sustainability

Existing social injustices are being exacerbated by the climate crisis. People living in poor and vulnerable regions are often particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change - as we recently reported from Bangladesh , for example. That is why ecological sustainability naturally plays a central role in our work. We take our responsibility for the environment and the people in our supply chains seriously and are constantly working to ensure transparency and fairness. We carefully select the ingredients and manufacturers for our products, are constantly coming up with new innovations and track down the best materials. We are particularly proud of our recyclable refill bag for soaps , our optimized hand cream packaging, which is now up to 90% recyclable, and our limited edition Christmas care set with extracts from organic baby apples that would normally have ended up in the trash.

There is still a long way to go to achieve sustainability. But we are highly motivated and look forward to constantly improving at all levels of corporate social responsibility at share – for more social justice. For everyone.
