The beginning of every change lies in knowledge. That is why we conducted a representative survey on food poverty in Germany with YouGov*. Here are the important results:

Everything important at a glance.
There are various causes of food poverty in Germany, including low pensions, long-term unemployment, chronic illnesses, inflation and insufficient support for refugees or single parents. These factors contribute to the fact that 3 million people currently cannot afford a healthy diet. We want to use these facts to raise awareness of this problem and thus actively initiate change.
It's really easy! Buy a share promotional product, scan the QR code on the packaging and you can take part. You can recognise our promotional products by the green "Help now & win" sticker. You can buy share promotional products from February 26th in REWE stores and from February 29th in dm stores. You can also take part in the competition by ordering a participating snack in the share online shop.
Food that is no longer suitable for sale is rescued by the food banks. The food banks need financial support for transport and distribution. 6 cents per share snack sold goes to the German food bank. In return, a person in need receives a food parcel.
You can recognize the promotional products by the green “Help now & win” sticker: These are 3 of our bars (nut sea salt, caramel sea salt, chocolate banana), 3 of our chocolates (nut sea salt, nougat, Peru) and 2 of our lentil chips (sea salt, spicy).
