Why is there a World Water Day?
World Water Day has been celebrated annually on March 22 since 1993. The United Nations created it to highlight the importance of water as a vital and increasingly scarce resource. It draws attention to challenges such as water scarcity, pollution and climate change and supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 6: "Clean water and sanitation".
Why our share water is worth every sip
Doing good is so easy: with share, your everyday shopping becomes a good deed. Each bottle provides one day of clean drinking water to people in water-scarce regions. A 6-pack? Six times as much help! So far, share has been able to provide 100,680,000 days of clean drinking water, repair or build new 465 wells and hand pumps, and thus reach over 155,000 people.
