Together, share and Deutsche Bahn have already helped fund the construction and repair of over 50 wells — in villages, schools and health centers — providing people with lasting access to clean water. This has reached more than 15,000 people in Liberia, Colombia, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Côte d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Madagascar.
Wells are so much more than just water. A well in a village can create jobs. It can save time that can be invested in education. It can help reduce child mortality, disease and conflict. It lays a vital foundation for the development of the entire community.
These projects were only possible thanks to the support of Deutsche Bahn passengers — because every bottle of share water purchased donates one day of clean drinking water.
