Your Care product donates hygiene products and training to families in the refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. Here, hundreds of thousands of people live in cramped conditions, and we provide hygiene services to support them in this extreme situation and protect them from dangerous diseases.
How we help
Following the outbreak of violence against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar in 2017, more than half a million people from northern Rakhine State have fled across the border into Bangladesh. With only what they can carry, they seek shelter in the border district of Cox’s Bazar. In the camp, people live close together. Physical distance is difficult to maintain. As a result, infectious diseases, including Covid-19, can spread rapidly.
Welthungerhilfe is on site and, as an emergency measure, distributes hygiene packages and offers training on health topics, among other things. In the next project phase, special focus will be placed on the topics of reproductive health and family planning, in order to support young women in particular.
Welthungerhilfe does not support any products or services.
